We Needed a Better Way
Our story begins sitting around a table talking with a cooperative of farmers, advisors and packers.

The group was frustrated. The industry was changing. Another day, another regulation. Another thing growers had to worry about, on top of feeding the world. All culminating in more time filing paperwork than out in the field doing what they really loved.

What could we do? All we knew was that there had to be a better way.
So, we set out to create one.

We Asked. We Listened
We put boots on the ground. To talk to growers, advisors and packers face-to-face. To listen. To learn.

What we learned was a little frightening. Information was scattered across the supply chain. Different programs. Different formats. Different directions.

A major burden, they told us, was getting records to the right people at the right time, and having to use multiple programs to complete them
Our Goal Became Clear
We took everything we learned, all the great ideas and insights from the people actually doing the work, and used them to breathe life into a solution that might actually empower the farmer, not leave them feeling defeated.
We needed a tool to help permanent crop growers and packers more easily track and supply the data needed to meet the ever-increasing demands of compliance regulations, to uncover time- and cost-saving insights from that data across the supply chain, and to allow the owners of the data to remain in control of it.
A New Ecosystem is Born
The ApRecs ecosystem is now the center. From here, information can be shared for the purpose of working together to create a more efficient supply chain, for the benefit of each other, and the industry..
